In March 2012, the nineteenth Model United Nations arranged by 

Stagneliusskolan in Kalmar is to take place, also this time arranged 

together with the Swedish  UN Association. 

We are happy to invite upper secondary schools to participate. 

For schools with students with English as a native tongue there is

a limitation of two delegations per school. This is a measure taken 

to ensure a more enjoyable debate for every participant. 

STIMUN will take place between midday Tuesday 20th and  Friday

 23rd of March 2012.

The Model United Nations will consist of a General Assembly with

Committees and a Security Council, where the latter will only be 

open to experienced delegates. The working language will be 

English.

The lunches on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, dinners during 

Tuesday and Wednesday, a buffet on Thursday evening and snacks 

during the afternoons are included in the delegate fee which will 

be 600 SEK.

Just as last year several very moderately priced accommodation 

alternatives will be available, for example accommodation in 

class rooms. In this offer breakfast will be included. The cost for 

accommodation at Stagneliusskolan: 250 SEK per person 

(sleeping on classroom floor) Tuesday-Friday, breakfasts included.

 This alternative is only for Swedish students!

A limited number of host families will be prepared to welcome 

foreign students. The housing will be free of charge but please note 

that the families have no obligations to prepare any meals!

Applications will be accepted as long as we have vacant delegate

 places!
